Un petit article pour un musicien disons assez hors du commun. Will Blunderfield est originaire de Vancouver au Canada, et en plus d’être un chanteur compositeur, il est professeur de yoga. Vous commencez à cerner le personnage ? Parfait ! Oscillant entre les compositions mélancoliques au piano, la presque-pop, la world et la récitation de mantras en indien, c’est un artiste absolument unique en son genre, un peu allumé (voire beaucoup) mais dans le bon sens du terme. Long Time Sun peut un peu faire penser à une chanson d’Enya, très aérienne, très relaxante. Car après tout, c’est de la musique relaxante qu’il nous offre. On n’est pas pratiquant assidu du yoga pour rien ! The River est aussi dans cette optique, celle de la relaxation. La voix, presque familière, nous invite à nous allonger, à prendre le thé et à oublier un peu le monde. Signé sur le label Nettwerk, il a sorti son premier album à l’échelle internationale l’année dernière. Il est très difficile de classer cet artiste hors norme, et le choix de la catégorie est discutable. Bref, un artiste absolument hors du commun, parfait pour un dimanche après midi pluvieux. Between the melancholic compositions with the piano, the half-pop; the world music and the recitation of indian mantras, it’s an artist absolutely unique in this kind of music, a little bit crazy (maybe more) but for the best. Long Time Sun sounds like an Enya‘s song, very sweet, very relaxative. Because after all, it’s relaxative music he offers to us. He’s not a yoga fan for nothing ! The River sound quiete the same, for the same aim : stay relax ! The voice, almost known, is an invitation for us to stretch out, to take a tea and to forget the world for a few minutes. Signed on the label Nettwerk, he released his first album to the international public last year. It’s very difficult to put this artist in a specific category, and the choice of it could be discuss. Sorry if you think I’m wrong… So, a total uncommon artist, perfcet for a rainy sunday afetrnoon. Stay Zen !
